Compile your addon for Java 17 (options.release = 17) so it runs on all of them. More versions (1.12.2, further 1.21.x) will come. Addons that only use the API run there without changes.
API versions
- Everything in
net.lynxclient.apiis stable within a major version. The current major version is 1 (Lynx.API_VERSION). - Within a major version things are only added. Nothing is removed or changed incompatibly.
- If a later API has to break something, the major version goes up. Addons written for an older major version are then shown as incompatible instead of crashing the game.
- Only use
net.lynxclient.api.*. LynxClient's internal classes (net.lynxclient.core.*) and Minecraft classes change without notice, and store addons may not use them.
The lynx-api artifact
net.lynxclient:lynx-api is published to https://download.lynxclient.de/maven with every LynxClient release (currently 0.1.17). Any version with the same major API version works at runtime. You only need a newer one to use newly added parts.
